Install our optional GEM™ software and connect to the USB port on the TOPAZ XL. You can toggle between your PC view and the camera view, or work with both at the same time in a split screen. Split the screen horizontally or vertically to best suit the task. Capture and save images from your TOPAZ XL. For instance, see your bills and your banking Web site on your PC at the same time. Quickly and accurately enter the payment amount and date, then save an image of the bill on your PC.

Just connect your computer’s monitor cable to the VGA port on the TOPAZ XL. Now you can view your documents as well as your PC on the TOPAZ XL. Toggle back and forth with a button push. Save space on your desk and avoid moving your chair back and forth.

Advanced Writing Features

Filling out a Form? Press the Focus Lock button to keep focus on the paper as your hand moves under the camera. Press again and the Position Locator beam highlights the area of your page that is directly under the camera to show you where to place your pen.

Add Reading Lines and Masks

Do you need to block out all but the line you are reading to reduce eye fatigue, or set reference lines as you move a document back and forth under the camera? The TOPAZ XL has these features built-in. Choose horizontal or vertical markers, move them anywhere on the screen and adjust the space between them.
